In the year 2012 many countries in the world have made the full transition of digital TV services and switched off their analogue TV broadcasts. The time scale of the various countries will phase in the switch off but most of us are fast approaching deadlines, and you can get sooner than you think. So what does it mean to you?

Revolutionized TV color TV was introduced to the world for many years in 1960 but little immediate results in our lives when what is happening. Analog color TV standards are designed to be compatible with a mono signal that no one had to change their TV equipment unless they want to take advantage of new color TV broadcast.
This time a different thing. If you are happy today Analogue TV equipment and you want to watch broadcast TV then you will have to buy new equipment. Digital TV is not compatible with Analog TV and no attempt has been made to do so.
You'll need some way to receive digital TV broadcasts
Your selections will be digital satellite TV, digital cable or digital terrestrial TV. The most popular option is the possibility that the terrestrial accepted, which is the way most of us have been watching TV for several decades. Either way you need new equipment to receive digital signals. You may need to repair and reposition your terrestrial TV aerial and most people will find that they just can t good enough signal from the antenna for terrestrial digital TV to work.
Terrestrial coverage is not 100% in any way and the cable is rarely available except in areas heavily populated, which means that satellite television may be the only option.
