Global Positioning System has been almost completely for several years now but previously designed and built for the U.S. military use but expanded for use in civil aircraft after the disaster.
While this is very important and simple tool, a simple GPS system in performance. Navigation work using Constellation of 30 or more satellites (no more that orbit very little but no longer running).
Signals sent from satellites that contains three pieces of information received and the equipment has sat nav in our vehicles.
Information includes:
* The time a message is sent
* The position of the satellite's orbit (known as ephemeris)
* For public health systems and other GPS satellite orbit (known as almanac)
Street navigation information successfully is by using information from four satellites. When the signal from the satellite was left sat nav receiver memory and the distance from each satellite will lose their jobs and then using this information. Using information from four satellites to work out possible particularly where the satellite receiver, a process known as triangulation.
However, exercising, especially when you are in the world that they expect to complete within the accuracy of the signals broadcast by satellites. Such as the GPS signal to travel at the speed of light (average 300.000 km through the second vacuum) one can see the second position inaccuracy of information out to 300 miles! Currently the GPS system is accurate to five meters that show how accurate the information broadcast by the satellite time.
This high level of accuracy possible for each of the GPS satellites have an Atomic Clocks. Atomic clock is very accurate unshakable oscillation depends on the atoms to keep time - even individual GPS satellites running over millions of years ago will be used as a second (compared with an average of the electronic watch that a second operation in one or two weeks)
Because this level of accuracy is higher than the Atomic Clock board GPS satellites can be used as a source of accurate time synchronization for computer networks and other equipment that require synchronization.
Receive signals requires the use of this GPS NTP server to synchronize the satellites and distribute the equipment all the time on the web.
